The linear size is the total sum of the length, weight and height of the object. Deliveries greater than 160 pounds and/or 170 linear inches are generally possible. Please contact the dispatcher for more information.

DELIVERY ISSUES

Wrong address

Any re-delivery due to a wrong address will incur an Re-route fee of $4 if the new address is within the same zone. If the new address is in a different zone, a new delivery will be created from the wrong address to the new one.

No Pick-Up

Any deliveries cancelled after a rider has already arrived at the pickup location will incur a No-Pickup fee of half the original delivery fee, including all surcharges. For all deliveries outside of the core zones (zones 7-9), a No-Pickup fee will be billed as soon as the rider has been dispatched.

RE-DELIVERIES

Any re-delivery attempts (excluding B2C distro deliveries) will be billed at full price from our office (zone 2).

Waiting Time

Waiting time is billed at $1/minute. There is no charge for the first 5 minutes. Waiting charges can apply in the following cases, but is not limited to: incorrect or insufficient pick-up/delivery information,
inability to contact sender/recipient, incorrect or insufficient packaging of consignment.

Insurance

All deliveries are insured up to $100 against loss and damages. Deliveries with improper packaging (i.e. unprotected electronic equipment, unboxed wine bottles, etc) are not subject to insurance. In case of damage, Chasseurs reserves the right to compensate the cost of
repair of the delivery, if less than the cost of a replacement. Any difference in price of replacing a product, e.g. due to market fluctuation or inflation are not covered. Any insurance claims must be made within 96 hours of delivery.

Service Fees

Special Handling

All deliveries requiring special handling are subject to a $5 Special Handling fee, including, but not limited to, items whose temperature must be controlled during transport (i.e. perishable food), electronic equipment not in its original packaging, and flowers or plants. Insurance is not available on such items.

Off-Hours

Deliveries can be made within our core zones (1 through 6) between 6pm and 9pm on weekdays and between 12pm and 9pm on weekends at an additional $10 Off-Hours fee. Deliveries outside of our core zone may be possible, contact the dispatcher on duty for more information.

Purchases

Any deliveries requiring the courier to front money for payment of an item or service (third party shipping excluded) will incur a Purchase Service fee of $5 for amounts up to $100 (tax inclusive), or 5% of the total money fronted for all amounts greater than $100.

THIRD PARTY SHIPPING

Any deliveries requiring a drop at a Canada Post, UPS, Fedex, etc. depot in which a prepaid envelope is not supplied will incur a $4 Shipping Service fee.

Printing

Any deliveries requiring printing from our offices will incur a $5 Printing fee. Printing is limited to 20 pages.

Terms of Payment

Clients are billed bi-weekly. Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, cheque or cash. Invoices not paid within two weeks are subject to a 2% late fee for each two week period the invoice is unpaid. Any deliveries paid outside of the regular billing cycle are to be paid on receipt of invoice.

Liability

Chasseurs’s liability for a delivery begins once the delivery is in the custody of Chasseurs and ends once the delivery is delivered to the stated recipient address. Unless otherwise specified by client, a consignment may be delivered to an individual at recipient address other than the specified recipient. Deliveries may be delivered to a mail room or courier centre unless otherwise stated by client. Liability for loss or damage to a delivery does not apply if due to sender/recipient error such as insufficient packaging, incorrect or incomplete recipient information provided or conditions outside the control of Chasseurs.
